Getting Started as a Player
Learn how to create your account, find tournaments, and register for events.

1. Creating Your Account
To register for tournaments, you'll need to create an account first.
- Go to the Sign Up page
- Enter your full name, email address, and create a password
- Or click "Sign in with Google" to use your Google account
- Check your email for a confirmation link (if using email signup)
- Click the link to verify your account
Tip: Using Google sign-in is the fastest way to get started - no email verification needed!
2. Completing Your Profile
Before you can register for tournaments, you need to complete your player profile.
- After signing in, go to your Profile page
- Full Name: Enter your name as you'd like it to appear on rosters
- Gender: Select Male or Female (used for team balancing in co-ed tournaments)
- Phone (optional): For day-of tournament communications
- Click "Save Changes" to save your profile
3. Finding Tournaments
Browse upcoming tournaments and find events that match your schedule.
- Visit the Tournaments page
- View upcoming tournaments with dates, locations, and registration status
- Click on a tournament to see full details including:
- Date and time
- Venue location
- Entry fee
- Current registration count
- Maximum capacity
- Registration deadline
4. Registering for a Tournament
Once you've found a tournament you want to join, here's how to register.
- Click on the tournament to view its details
- Review the tournament information, date, and entry fee
- Click the "Register Now" button
- If the tournament has a fee, you'll be directed to complete payment
- Once registered, you'll see a confirmation message
- Check your email for registration confirmation
Registration is first-come, first-served. Popular tournaments fill up quickly, so register early to secure your spot!
5. Tournament Day
Here's what to expect when you arrive at the tournament.
Before you arrive
- Check your email for any last-minute updates from the tournament director
- Arrive 15-30 minutes before the scheduled start time
- Bring appropriate volleyball attire and water
Check-in
- Find the check-in table and let them know you've arrived
- The tournament director will mark you as "present"
- You'll be assigned to a team once all players have checked in
During the tournament
- Listen for announcements about your team's next game
- Check the schedule board or TV display for court assignments
- Be ready to play when your team is called
6. Managing Your Registrations
Keep track of your tournament registrations in your player portal.
- Go to My Tournaments in your player portal
- View all your upcoming and past tournament registrations
- See your registration status (Registered, Waitlisted, etc.)
- Click on any tournament to view its details
Canceling a Registration
If you need to cancel your registration, contact the tournament director directly. Their contact information is typically available on the tournament detail page. Refund policies vary by tournament.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I register for multiple tournaments?
Yes! You can register for as many tournaments as you'd like, as long as they don't overlap and have available spots.
What if I'm waitlisted?
If a tournament is full, you may be placed on a waitlist. You'll be notified if a spot opens up. Keep an eye on your email!
What if I'm late to a tournament?
Contact the tournament director as soon as possible. Late arrivals may miss team formation or early games. It's always best to arrive early!
